Incredibly beautiful location, stunning views of the coast, peaceful and quiet room, cozy shared lounge with fireplace, excellent breakfast, beautiful dining room.

The room I stayed in at The Granary Lodge Bed & Breakfast was perfect for me as a beach lover. It had a private bathroom with free toiletries, which felt so luxurious. The hairdryer and shower were also a nice touch, making it easy for me to freshen up after a day at the beach. The tea and coffee maker in the wheelchair accessible double room was a great addition, allowing me to enjoy a cup of coffee while relaxing in the seating area with a flat-screen TV. The walk-in shower in the other double room was so convenient, and the bath was a nice bonus for a relaxing soak. the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay by the beach.
Personally, I found the carpeted floor in the spacious double room a bit outdated. But I understand that some guests might still enjoy the cozy feeling it provides.

Great location near a castle with beautiful coastal views. Peaceful and quiet room, enjoyed the shared lounge with fireplace. Excellent breakfast and beautiful dining room. Friendly host provided interesting info about royal connections. Top choice on NC500 road trip.

What an amazing find! The Granary Lodge was the highlight of our two week NC500 road trip. The location, right next to the castle with sweeping coastal views, was absolutely breathtaking. Our room was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing night's sleep. The shared lounge with the cozy fireplace was a wonderful touch, and the breakfast in the beautiful dining room was top-notch. Jean, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, even sharing the stories behind the royal connections displayed on the walls. Highly recommended!

The view was amazing, right next to a stunning castle and overlooking the coast. The room was perfect for a quiet night. The breakfast was top-notch and the dining room was beautiful. The owner was so friendly and even gave us a rundown of the royal connections in the photos on the walls.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with this place!
